I’m doing a narrated let’s play for Red Alert 3. I haven’t played much of this game yet but this is a standard RTS. It looks very polished and the cinematics are a beautiful composition of real life famous actors and CGI effects. The interface, however, seems a little bit twitchy, and not in a good way. Still should be an overall good game.

This is my first time playing the game. I’m having trouble deciding if I should finish the tutorials or go right into the campaign. Depending on what I decide, I’ll either be learning as I go, or based on the help.

Now, something is missing here, right? Right… We had to disable the AI difficulty setting switch - game was VERY unstable and we were getting almost instant disconnects with this on. We’re still not sure if it’s possible to get around it, but we will do our best to enable it back in v1.2.

I was getting excited when i read this:

* Version 1.1 of our Red Alert 3 Coop Loader will probably get released on Saturday 21:00 GMT!

* Yesterday we tried out our Coop loader on the 1.4 version of the Red Alert 3 - everything seemed to work perfectly so we decided to update our gameplay video (from the first post).

But now it’s already monday and still no sign of a Red Alert 3 LAN Coop v1.1 release. I wonder if there’s a problem with v1.1 and if they are planning to release it soon.

The good thing is that it works with the latest red alert 3 version (1.4 / 1.0.4) but damn, i can’t wait when it’s released.

Seems like that the first lan coop mode “hack” is released, there are still a few bugs however that needs to be fixed but apart from that its a nice release.

This page is dedicated to our first project - Red Alert 3 LAN Coop-enabling loader.

As we all know, Electronic Arts decided not to include Coop-Campaign functionality in LAN network menu of the game. We decided to change that - in result, you can now play any mission of your choice, with your friend, on LAN (or over Hamachi), without need of being connect to the internet (EA Servers). You bought the game so by all means, you deserve it!

Please note that:

• game will crash occasionally, when you try going back to the main menu from the game or when you win/lose the mission.
• black textures occur only with cracked versions, our mod should work with those but we do not support them, seek help elsewhere.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Turn off the game!
2. Extract “Ra3LanCoop_v1.0_TeknoGods.rar” to the Red Alert 3 installation folder.
3. Extract & Rebuild Campaign maps into LAN-friendly format using our home-brew map extractor utility which should be now located in “<RedAlert3Installdir>\MapExtractor\MapExtractor.exe”. Screenshot:

Red alert 3 lan coop mode, I bet u want that!

Basically all this hack/fix does is, inserting the desired COOP map into the LAN mode enabling you to bypass the original game-spy playing method, thus making it available to all the pirates and those people, who have problems creating the game over internet (this is btw. why this fix was developed, the authors are NOT able to play over Internet, although they have legit keys).

This hack isn’t released yet, but their iRC Channel (see Info section) states that it’ll most likely be done this weekend. Be sure to check out the video and definitely join their iRC channel which is #ra3coop and located on EFNet!
