Loading ...When I googled for some eve online images I came accross a private server project for eve online and those that want to host their own eve online private server, take a look here , you need to download, modify and run the EVE_3913a.exe client. Modifying some of the client settings is necessary to make the client connect to the private server but once that’s done you can play eve online for free!

I’ve mailed them about the eve online private server and can’t wait to read their reply (although it’s been released for some time, around 2006/2007) , another thing is that the development of the private server isn’t really that active and lacks the support of dedicated developers that can further develop the private server, however i’m willing to spent some time developing this if I have the time for it. (My c/c++ knowledge is a bit rusty though atm , but i can manage it) If you have any questions about compiling, setting or running the private server just let me know.
[update] After succesfully compiling the server build (EVEmu-0.6.253.tgz) with the latest database release (EVEDB-0.6.253.zip) I managed to get it up and running. Check my screenshot here for proof: i’m flying a gallente carrier with an 1 day old character and logged in as a GM. Nice~~!

lol but I mean without pay… if that game was paid just once in the purchase ok, but now pay every month…
Then earn enough to buy game time card (gtc) with isk. They are around 400/450m isk for a 60 day game time card. You can also take a look around here and see (or wait) untill i have a contest running for eve online giving away timecards. I’m giving away (faction) ships, (faction) mods and timecards every month and maybe you will win them.
If you are planning to host your own eve online private server just read my blogpost, it’s not hard at all to configure the eve online server but you do need to do a few things such as installing a MySql database (4.1+) , create the database tables and compiling the latest svn release.

I have a question? can you create a server on a mac? or does this emulator work on mac osx?
Tested on a windows box but should work on linux as well, About the macOS i don’t know, not tested it.

i have them downloaded….but whenever I try the first step on creating a db it says that I have a syntax error for instance:

how do i make a d:\system and how can i unpack the tgz’s content there.
Download winrar to unpack the *.tgz files, as for making a d:\system directory is your “d:” a disk/usb or a cd/dvdrom drive? If it’s the former you can’t unpack the files into the drive .try c:\ instead. Winrar gives you the option to choose where to unpack the files.
