PS! I'm 19 years old and has just finished highschool (currently working as a computer consultant before I continue studying). In school I was studying about computers (OS, LAN, Novell, LTSP, Robot Programming(Basic Stamp), Webdesign, Databases, and so on...), I was also studying about computers before I was studying it in school cuz my biggest intrest is computers, so I'm trying to learn as mutch as possible. I has been a webdesigner since I was 10, and started programming JavaScript soon after that. That was the first programming language learned, and then C++ & VisualBasic. I rekognice stuff from JAVA, but I'm not a programmer (But I'm trying to learn it since I'm using a lots of java in the servers). I like java cuz it's: os independent, advanced, small & powerfull

Hi HappyFace.... srry cuz I didn't answer a couple of days ago...

I think I kan make it into parts.... the first part will be to get the loginserver & gameserver to work, the next one is maybe adding an updateserver, and then, making the server better and better untill the complete server takes about 20MB and is super fast. I mean why use an apacheserver if you doesn't nead one, apache is just slowing down the server, if we use a smaller one what only got the most necessary functions, it will operate at a mutch higher speed.
I will make it into parts and post them here, if you want to read the full one without parts or if you neads materials for the server or can't find any sources, I'm working on a website what is currently going to have a forum & private server related downloads.

Temporary url: vitamundus.tk (I only got a forum so far, have just created it)

Good good, if u want u can post a bit regulary and chop the content down into multiple blogposts instead of posting it all in a single blogpost.

Guides/tutorials are good to have :D
Anyway, i'm wondering that if you are a (java) developer/ computer science student?

Cheers,

HappyFace

Hi again HappyFace, thats great :D

My first idea of writing is an introduction for newbies into the world of private servers.

So I'm currently trying to write an complete guide about how to setup my favorite server emulator, L2J, what is an LineAge II server emulator programmed in JAVA.
It's gonna be written from scratch to complete private server (loginserver, gameserver, webserver, sqlserver, updateserver, launcher, updates,...). And I'm gonna try to make the server as small, fast, mobile & orginal as possible. I'm currently writing it temporary in Word, and I will post it as a new post when I'm done. It's hopefully going to be a huge guide, since it's gonna contain totaly everything neaded for a complete private server & it's gonna be as easy as possible (newbie level).

It took me about 72 hours of hard work and searching before I sucessfully setup an L2J server the first time (I had no guide back then, and it was the first time even hearing about L2J... ^^ lol), and I have been spending about another 72 hours of hard work on my server to make it better. And I'm currently working on my secound and best server so far.

This guide is going to to take up all my work from the two servers and turn it into an easy beginner friendly complete guide, about how to setup the ultimate L2 private (extremely small and fast).

I'm not fully done with the work on the secound server yeat so this is probebly gonna take a while, since I'm trying to stay away from using Apache or MySQL cus of the huge size.
So i'm currently trying to find an alternative JAVA sulotion for webserver and sqlserver what has an total size around 1MB together (and thats realy hard), if I can't fix it I will try to see if I can make it by using an modified Apache-server or an Jboss-server.

Sounds good :D! , I already gave you author permissions so all you need to do is login and write a blog post -> publish. YOu can blog about java stuff, games, or even anime if you want. If all goes well i can arrange some kind of payment or something similiar such as free games and other goodies coming your way. =)
