Do you own a PS2 and want to play your PS2 games on your pc?
The PCSX2, a Sony PlayStation® 2 emulator makes this possible. It emulates the Playstation 2 and has a wide range of supported games for it, too bad not all games workd i’m sure their working on it to improve the compatibility of the games.
The system requirements are also hefty as i’ve read about it. The specs listed below is really the bare minimum and you won’t be able to play the games smoothly:
Athlon XP (Barton) 2600+ Processor
ASUS V8460 Ultra Deluxe – Nvidia GeForce 4 TI 4600
1 GB PC3200 DDR – 2 x 512 MB (Dual DDR Activated)
Currently the latest build is: PCSX2 0.9.4 Binary and can be download from here
To be able to play games you also need the PS2 bios such as the:
SCPH-70004_BIOS_V12_PAL_200.BIN
scph39001.bin
scph10000.bin
and the PS2 Bios 30004R V6 Pal.bin but remember you can only use this if you own the original playstation 2 or else its illegal to use these files.
